Guests can leave a review about their stay on every channel connected to Holidu. This means your property receives reviews from multiple booking platforms, helping build credibility and visibility across your entire portfolio.

Hosts can leave a review about their guests on the following channels:

  • Airbnb
  • VRBO — no written review, only a star rating

How to respond to a guest review (all channels)

Step 1: Receive an email notification

Whenever a guest leaves a review on Holidu, you'll get an email with the review details and a link to respond. This notification is sent to the email address associated with your Holidu host account.

Step 2: Open your Holidu account

Click the "Reply to your guest" button in the email. You'll be taken straight to your Holidu account, where you can write your response. Alternatively, you can log into your host dashboard and navigate to the reviews section to respond directly.

Step 3: Write and submit your reply

When crafting your response, keep these guidelines in mind:

  • Acknowledge the guest's feedback — thank them for their stay
  • Address concerns professionally — focus on solutions rather than disagreements
  • Stay welcoming — remember, future guests will read your reply too

Once you write your response, the system checks it for clarity and professionalism. If edits are needed, you'll be notified before submission.

Step 4: Review and publish

  • Holidu reviews your response to ensure it meets quality standards
  • Important: Once a response is published, it cannot be changed

How to leave a guest review (Airbnb and VRBO)

Steps to leave a review:

  1. Watch out for the email reminder you receive after a guest checks out
  2. Or, log into your Holidu host account → go to Bookings → open the booking
  3. You have up to 7 days after check-out to leave a review
  4. If no review is submitted in that time, the guest will automatically receive a positive review

What you can include

  • A star rating (1-5 stars)
  • A written review describing your experience (Airbnb only — VRBO allows star ratings of guests only)
  • Private feedback only visible to the guest

Editing your review

  • You have 1 hour after submitting to make changes
  • To edit, return to the booking and click Edit

Yes, you can request a change of ownership so Holidu can take over your existing Booking.com listing and reviews, but a number of conditions must be met. To check whether you're eligible, please contact our support team via the Assistant and we'll help you.

Can I send my reviews from my personal Booking.com listing to Holidu?

If you meet the eligibility criteria for a change of ownership, all reviews will be transferred into your Holidu/Booking.com listing.

Airbnb

Can I transfer my existing listing and reviews to Holidu?

No, you have to close your listing and open it again as new via Holidu.

Can I send my reviews from my personal Airbnb listing to Holidu?

No — you'll start gathering reviews via the new listing Holidu creates for you on Airbnb. If you have a high number of reviews on your personal Airbnb listing, we can offer you a temporary commission discount as an incentive to close it and reopen via Holidu. To proceed, please contact our support team via the Assistant and we'll help you.

VRBO

Can I transfer my existing listing and reviews to Holidu?

Not for the full listing, but yes for the reviews. To transfer your reviews, please contact our support team via the Assistant and we'll help you.

Can I send my reviews from my personal VRBO listing to Holidu?

Yes — as long as you close your VRBO listing, we can request that the historical reviews be sent over into the new listing Holidu creates, so you keep your visibility and rating.
