Holidu offers a free professional photography service in select focus regions. Our local photographers understand what works best in each market and can help your property shine.
Service Availability
Please note the following important details about our professional photography service:
- The professional photography service is only available in Focus Regions.
- In certain areas, the service may not be available.
- Availability depends on photographer coverage in the specific geographic area.
- Not all properties are automatically eligible.
To find out if your property qualifies for our professional photography service, check your property settings or contact our support team through the Assistant available in your Holidu host account.
Important Information About Professional Photos
- Photos taken by Holidu professionals are not reviewed before they go live on your listing. Our photography team selects and orders them based on channel performance data.
- All hosts, including those with professional Holidu photos, can fully manage their photo galleries.
- Holidu keeps a backup of all professional photos. If you delete one by mistake, you can contact support through the Assistant to have it restored.
- Professional photos are the property of Holidu and are not available for purchase by hosts.
Uploading Your Own Photos
If you choose to upload your own photos or want to supplement professional images, follow these guidelines to ensure the best results:
Photo Quality Guidelines
- The first photo in your gallery is used as the main display image across partner channels, so choose this carefully.
- Gallery order affects booking performance — use high-quality, well-lit photos for your cover shot and first few images.
- Use good lighting to capture the best shots of your property.
- Use wide angles to capture the full scope of your spaces.
- Upload at least 10 photos for a complete listing.
- Minimum resolution: 1,024 × 768 pixels.
- Recommended resolution: 2,000 pixels on the long edge for high-quality images.
- Photos must be in landscape orientation.
Supported Photo Formats
The following image formats are supported: JPG, PNG, HEIC/HEIF, WebP, TIFF, and AVIF, within the platform's file-size limits. Please note that videos are not supported — only images.
How to Manage Your Photo Gallery
Adding Photos to Your Gallery
- Log in to your Holidu host account.
- Select the property you want to edit.
- Click the Photos tab in the property navigation bar.
- Click Add Photo to upload images from your device.
- If you're using the Holidu app, make sure to allow Holidu access to your phone's image library first.
- Select the images you want to upload and confirm.
- Click Save changes to apply your updates.
Deleting Photos
- Log in to your Holidu host account and select your property.
- Navigate to the Photos tab.
- Click on the photo you want to delete.
- Select Delete and confirm your action.
- Click Save changes to apply the deletion.
Note: Holidu keeps a backup of all photos, including professional ones. If you accidentally delete a photo, you can request its restoration by contacting support through the Assistant in your host account.
Reordering Your Photos
- Log in to your Holidu host account and select your property.
- Navigate to the Photos tab.
- Click and hold on a photo you want to move.
- Drag it to the position where you want it to appear in your gallery.
- Release to drop it in place.
- Click Save changes to confirm the new order.
Best Practices for Photo Management
- Keep your gallery updated with current images of your property.
- Ensure your cover photo is your most appealing image — this is what guests see first.
- Maintain consistency in lighting and style across your photos.
- Include a variety of shots showing different rooms, amenities, and outdoor spaces.
- Update photos seasonally if your property's appearance changes throughout the year.
- Regularly review your gallery and remove any outdated or poor-quality images.
