A flexible cancellation policy can help your property attract more bookings. Properties with moderate policies often receive 2 to 5 times more bookings than those with strict ones. Choose the option that best fits your property and local market.

How to Change Your Cancellation Policy

1. Log in to your Holidu Host account at https://host.holidu.com/app/ or use the Holidu Host app.
2. Click Properties and select the listing you want to update.
3. In the left-hand menu, click Configuration.
4. Find and open the Cancellation Policies section.
5. Select the booking channel you want to update, then choose the policy that fits your property.
6. Click Save to apply your changes.

Note: Changes apply only to future bookings. Existing bookings are not affected.

Cancellation Policy Types by Channel

Holidu and Other Channels

• Flexible: Full refund up to 1 day before check-in. No refund after that.
• Moderate 5 Days: Full refund up to 5 days before check-in. 50% refund after that.
• Moderate 14 Days: Full refund up to 14 days before check-in. No refund after that.
• Firm: Full refund up to 30 days before check-in. 50% refund from 30 to 7 days. No refund under 7 days.
• Strict: 70% refund up to 30 days before check-in. No refund under 30 days.

Airbnb

• Flexible: Full refund up to 1 day before check-in.
• Moderate: Full refund up to 5 days before check-in.
• Firm and Strict: Partial refund depending on timing.
• Super Strict 30 Days: 50% refund 30 or more days before check-in.

From October 1, 2025, guests can cancel free of charge within 24 hours of booking, as long as the booking is made at least 7 days before check-in. This applies to all policies.

Booking.com

• Flexible: Full refund up to 1 day before check-in.
• Moderate 5/14 Days: Full refund up to 5 or 14 days before check-in.
• Firm: Full refund up to 30 days before check-in.
• Strict: 50% refund at any time.
