When will you receive your payment for a reservation?

Your payout timing depends on whether you are a new host or an existing host.

New Hosts

As a new host, your first payout is processed 48 hours after your guest checks in and arrives instantly. This initial delay helps confirm a secure transaction.

A few things to keep in mind:

  • If you have multiple bookings, your first payout will include all completed stays up to that date.
  • Future payouts will follow the standard schedule for existing hosts.

Existing Hosts

Once you have received your first payout, all future payments follow the standard payout schedule:

  • Payments are initiated through an instant payment system on the check-in day.
  • Because it is an instant payment, you receive the funds within minutes of issue.
  • Typically, you will see the funds on the check-in day itself.
  • Instant payments help you receive funds quickly for last-minute bookings.

For a last-minute booking, the payout is processed 24 hours after your guest checks in and again arrives instantly. In case your guest checks in on the weekend, the payout gets processed the following Monday.

How can you check your payout status?

You can check the status of your payouts anytime in your Holidu Host account under the Payouts section. You will find:

  • The amount and date of each payment.
  • The processing status.
  • Any potential delays due to bank processing times or verification steps.

Why a payout can be on hold

When a payout has not arrived, the reason is more often a hold than a delay. A hold pauses the payment until whatever caused it is resolved, and in most cases you can resolve it yourself.

There are two kinds:

  • An account hold pauses every payout on your account, not only the booking you are asking about. If several payments are outstanding at the same time, this is the likely cause.
  • A booking hold affects only that one booking. Your other payouts continue as normal.

The most common causes, and what clears them:

Cause What to do
Information missing or incorrect in your profile Complete or correct the details in your Holidu Host account.
Identity verification (KYC) not completed Finish the verification steps for your account.
Your account details do not match the details given during verification Correct the mismatch so the two records agree. The hold is released once they match.
A cancellation request is open on the booking The final amounts are not confirmed yet. This normally clears on its own once the cancellation is settled.

If the cause has been resolved and the payout is still on hold more than two weeks later, contact your local Holidu Host Support team. A hold open that long is not normal and should be looked at.

What if your payment has not arrived?

Allow a little longer for a first payment: the 48-hour schedule above is the normal case, but a first payout can take up to 4 business days while your account details are verified for the first time. As an existing host, your payment should reach you on the check-in day.

If your payment is later than that, please:

  • Check first whether your account or the booking is on hold (see the section above on why a payout can be on hold). This is the most frequent cause, and it is usually something you can fix yourself.
  • Double-check your bank account details in your Holidu Host account to make sure everything is correct.
  • Look at the Payouts section to see the payment status.
  • Contact your bank to check for any processing delays.

If the amount is lower than you expected, or the payout is zero: a single payout can cover several bookings, and any amounts you owe are deducted from it. A cancellation penalty on one booking, for example, can be taken from the payout of another. The Payouts section shows which bookings make up each payment.

Booking.com Change of Ownership (COO) Payouts

When a property that was previously managed directly by the host on Booking.com is transferred to Holidu under Change of Ownership (COO), the payout process may differ depending on when the reservation was made.

  • If the reservation is already transferred and visible in your Holidu account, Holidu will handle the payout directly. You will receive the full amount, with no commission deducted.
  • If the reservation was made shortly before or shortly after the COO took place (usually within one week on either side), the payout will follow Booking.com's original payment schedule. In these cases, Holidu must first receive the payout from Booking.com before transferring it to you. As a result, payouts for these reservations are typically made around the 15th of the month following the guest's check-out.

Example: If a guest checks out on 6 November, the payout will usually be issued around 15 December.
