Verifying your account as a private host is an important step to ensure you can list your property and receive payouts on Holidu. This guide will walk you through the entire verification process, including gathering required documents, verifying your personal information, and confirming your payout details.

Important Note

This verification process can only be completed by the primary account holder (the host) in Holidu. Please ensure you have the necessary documents and information before beginning.

Step 1: Gather Your Required Documents

Before you start the verification process, make sure you have the following documents ready. Please note that Adyen does not accept scanned documents. Only clear photos or the official digital download of the original document will be accepted.

• Official identification (passport, driving license, or national ID)
• Proof of bank account ownership (e.g., a bank statement or deposit slip)
• If you're a freelancer, sole trader, or sole proprietor, your registration number

Step 2: Begin the Verification Process

Follow these steps to start verifying your account:

1. Log in to your Holidu account and navigate to the Account tab
2. Click on the Validate button to begin the verification process
3. You may be asked to sign a new agreement. Simply accept to continue. This will not change your pricing

Step 3: Verify Your Personal Information

Your personal details form the foundation of your verified account:

1. Click on Personal Details
2. Review the information pre-filled from your Holidu account
3. If any information needs editing, click Edit to make changes
4. Add any missing information or correct any inaccuracies
5. Select whether your bank account is registered in your personal name or under your sole proprietorship
6. If applicable, provide your registration number and address
7. Click Next to proceed

Step 4: Add Your Address

Your address verification ensures consistency across all your documents:

• Enter your address in the search field. The details will autofill automatically
• Ensure the address matches exactly what appears on your ID document
• If your billing address differs from your personal address on your ID, update it to match your ID address

Step 5: Verify Your Identity with an ID Document

You have two verification options to choose from:

Option 1: Instant Verification (Recommended)

This is the fastest way to complete your verification:

1. Select the country that issued your ID
2. Choose your document type (passport, driving license, or ID card)
3. Verify that your document matches the personal information you entered
4. Scan the QR code with your phone or request the link via SMS
5. Take clear photos of your document from both sides
6. Submit for immediate verification

Option 2: Manual Verification

If you prefer to upload your documents directly:

1. Select your document type
2. Upload clear, high-quality photos of your document from your computer
3. Ensure the photos show all necessary details clearly
4. Click Next to submit
5. Allow up to 72 hours for manual verification to complete

Step 6: Verify Your Payout Details

Your payout information must match the name you provided in your personal details:

Choose one of these verification options:

Instant Verification Option

1. Select your online banking provider from the list
2. Log in to your bank account through Tink, our trusted verification partner
3. Your login information is never stored and is only used for verification purposes
4. Receive instant confirmation once your bank details are verified

Manual Verification Option

1. Enter your bank account details manually
2. Upload a recent bank document from the last 12 months
3. The document must clearly show your name, IBAN, and for non-EU residents, the bank location
4. Click Next to submit
5. Allow up to 72 hours for verification

Step 7: Complete Sole Proprietor or Sole Trader Information

If you operate as a sole proprietor, freelancer, or sole trader, please provide the following information:

• Your business legal name as it appears on official registration documents
• Your registration number (or indicate if you don't have one)
• Your business address, which must match your legal address

Step 8: Complete Your Verification

Your verification completion depends on the method you chose:

• If you used Instant Verification, your account status should update immediately
• If you used Manual Verification, your status will remain In Review for up to 72 hours. Once verification is complete, your status will change to Complete
• You can track your verification status at any time in your Holidu account

• Ensure clarity: Make sure all photos and documents are clear, well-lit, and fully visible
• Stay consistent: Verify that information on all documents matches, especially names and addresses
• Monitor your email: We may contact you with updates or requests for additional information. Check your inbox regularly
• Use high-quality images: Blurry or poorly lit photos may be rejected. Take photos in good lighting
• Double-check details: Before submitting, review all information for accuracy
