Why didn't I receive my booking confirmation?
If you've booked a property through Holidu, Booking.com, or Airbnb and haven't received your booking confirmation, don't worry. Follow the steps below to locate your confirmation email or get the information you need.
Step 1: Search in your email inbox
Your booking confirmation may be in an unexpected location. Check the following folders:
- Your received/inbox folder
- Your spam or junk folder
- Your promotions or updates folder (if using Gmail)
Step 2: Check your booking account
For Holidu bookings
If you have a Holidu guest account registered with us:
- Log in to your Holidu account
- Go to "My Bookings"
- Find your booking and note the booking ID
- Search your email inbox using this booking ID to locate where the confirmation email went
- Your confirmation email will include your booking ID and host contact details
For Booking.com bookings
When you book through Holidu via Booking.com, you should receive two separate confirmation emails:
- From Booking.com: Contains your confirmation booking reference and PIN (confidential). This is sent to the email address you registered with Booking.com.
- From Holidu: Sent after your payment is confirmed, including your booking ID and host contact details.
To find your booking details:
- Log into your Booking.com account
- Go to the "Bookings" section
- Find your booking reference number
- Search your email inbox with your booking reference to locate the confirmation emails
- If not found, visit Booking.com help and request they resend your confirmation
For Airbnb bookings
When you book a property for your vacation at Holidu through Airbnb, your confirmation email including the check-in form link is sent through the chat directly.
To access your booking information:
- Log into your Airbnb account
- Go to "Trips" to view your reservations
- Click on your booking to see the full reservation details and booking reference
- Check your email inbox using the booking reference to locate the confirmation email folder
- The message thread with the host in your Airbnb reservation contains your confirmation details
Why you might not have received your confirmation
There are several common reasons why confirmation emails don't arrive:
- Email filters: Your email provider may have automatically filed the confirmation in spam or junk
- Incorrect email address: Ensure the email address used for your booking matches your current inbox
- Email provider issues: Sometimes emails are delayed or blocked by your email service
- Full inbox: If your email storage is full, new emails may not be delivered
What to do if you still can't find your confirmation
If you've checked all the above locations and still cannot locate your booking confirmation, you have your booking reference and booking ID available. Your booking is confirmed in our system even if you haven't received the email. You can use your booking reference to:
- Verify all booking details in your account (Holidu, Booking.com, or Airbnb)
- Contact your host directly through the platform's messaging system
- Access any check-in information or special instructions from your host
Keep your booking reference number handy for check-in and any communication with your host or the booking platform.
