Will I Be Charged If I Cancel My Booking?
We understand that plans can change, and you may need to cancel your booking. Whether you'll be charged depends on the cancellation policy set by the host for your specific reservation.
How Cancellation Policies Work
Each host sets their own cancellation policy, which is displayed before you complete your booking. These policies determine how much of your payment you'll get back if you cancel. Cancellation policies typically range from flexible to strict:
- Flexible: Free cancellations up to 24 hours before check-in
- Moderate: Free cancellations up to several days before check-in
- Strict: Limited or no refunds for cancellations
How to Check Your Cancellation Policy
To find out if you'll be charged when cancelling, follow these steps:
- Check your booking confirmation email from Holidu
- Log into the platform where you booked (Holidu, Airbnb, Booking.com, Vrbo, or another platform)
- Navigate to "My Trips" or "My Bookings"
- Look for your reservation and find the cancellation policy details
What You'll Find
Your cancellation policy information will show you the exact deadline for free cancellations and what percentage of your payment you'll receive back if you cancel after that deadline. The policy is set at the time of booking and remains the same throughout your reservation period.
Before You Cancel
Always review your specific cancellation policy before cancelling your booking. The cancellation terms are clearly outlined in your confirmation email and booking details. If you have questions about your policy or need further assistance, contact the support team through the platform where you made your reservation.
