Our beautiful house is located at almost 1000 m with a fantastic view of Lake Millstatt and the surrounding mountains.
Nestled in the beautiful Carinthian mountain world, our holiday apartments offer an optimal retreat. The house "Seeblick und Mehr" is located entirely on the outskirts of "Jenseits von Matzelsdorf" in a little-used area, ensuring absolute tranquility. You'll only hear the diverse birdlife up here.
Beyond... yet beautiful towns and places are within easy reach if your heart longs for city life, shopping trips, or nightlife and restaurant visits. That's the special thing about beautiful Carinthia.
Here, mountains, water, and nature are abundant. Other countries like Italy, Slovenia, and Croatia are reachable within a few hours. A day trip to the Mediterranean is easily possible from here. This beautiful landscape is charming in every season and brings you closer to nature again. Here, your soul and mind can find peace and escape the often all-too-hectic everyday life. So, when you book your time off, treat yourself to a second week... we all know that when we get away from stressful daily life, it often takes a while until we can truly arrive and let go. So be good to yourself and give yourself enough time here with us in beautiful Carinthia! Here you will find everything your heart desires to enjoy a decelerated holiday. It is especially relaxing and blissful for city dwellers, who live far from nature and its rhythm, to experience a reconnection with the essential and the original here. Furthermore, the Carinthians are a really nice, uncomplicated folk, with an open heart for strangers and new things. Many of our guests return precisely for this reason. Our 3 completely newly renovated and lovingly furnished one-room apartments are located in an extension next to our residential house; we share the main entrance. Our house was originally the first guesthouse in the area, so it has real charm. Our accommodations are self-catering, ensuring your holiday experience is as independent as possible, without time constraints or obligations.
Upon request, we can offer a bread roll service and also provide a small "basic supply" upon arrival.
We have founded an association and a cooperation with local farmers.
Through this, we regularly supply ourselves with regional, purely organic, high-quality products.
For larger shopping trips, there are various options, e.g., the town of Radenthein, just a few minutes' drive away.
Here, as part of our sustainability project, you have the opportunity almost daily to collect rescued food for a small donation.
For parents, there is also the possibility to find fantastic bargains and save a lot of money from an almost inexhaustible pool of children's clothing/toys, sportswear, and much more! For children (and their parents), we also offer many special features that can make holidays easier and especially minimize luggage.
The Millstatt Tourist Association offers a daily extensive program for families with children!! More on request! We have the following items available for rent on-site: buggy, backpack carrier, rain pants, many games, and toys for all ages! Directly at the holiday apartment, there is a large balcony with a lake view and comfortable seating. Enjoying the mild evenings there after an eventful day, watching the sunset over the Goldeck, is a fulfilling experience anew every day. In the garden, there is a beautiful lounge that our guests can use, as well as loungen areas in the garden. The region can be extensively explored both on foot and by bicycle and impresses with unique views and a variety of activity options. Right outside the door, you can head into the mountains and the forest, making it a perfect starting point for hikes and tours, both large and small. You don't have to get in the car to be in nature.
This is particularly beneficial for our guests with children and/or dogs. There are several alpine huts in the immediate vicinity, offering grandiose views that one simply has to experience. The Kaiserschmarrn or Käsespätzle there are a must! (Pichl-Hütte, Lammersdorfer Hütte, Alexander-Hütte, Schwaiger-Hütte, all reachable within a few kilometers.
Some are also very well reachable on foot!) Within a few minutes' drive you can reach: Dellach with its beautiful lido; there you will find a super delicious fish snack bar with always fresh fish and a fantastic view of the lake; Döbriach with several lidos, shops, restaurants, and fun and games by the lake for young and old; Radenthein with the worth-seeing Granatium; Millstatt, the nearest small town with a lot of flair; Spittal in approx. 25 minutes; Bad-Kleinkirchheim also reachable in 20-25 minutes; Villach in 30 minutes Klagenfurt in approx. 1 hour We allow dogs upon consultation. The Millstätter See Inclusive Card is a ticket with countless possibilities! In addition to 40 free holiday attractions around Lake Millstatt, numerous discounts, bonus experiences, and comprehensive mobility options are also included. Mobile with the MIC: The train station shuttle will take you to your accommodation from Spittal train station for €3 (per person/trip). With the MIC, guests can travel on all public transport vehicles and the Nockmobil for €3 (per person/trip) up to a maximum of 20 km, approx. 4 zones. Free travel through Carinthia with S-Bahn lines: The MIC is also your ÖBB ticket for unlimited travel on regional trains in Carinthia (bicycle transport not included). We usually rent weekly, from Saturday to Saturday. By arrangement, also at different times for different prices. Bringing pets is only allowed upon consultation.
Pet fees are upon consultation. A deposit of €200 per stay is required, which will be returned directly upon departure. Final cleaning fee is €70. Arrival is usually on Saturday by 10 PM at the latest; other weekdays are possible by arrangement. Deviations upon consultation.
