Simplify your life by staying in this peaceful accommodation, located close to all the places of interest for hiking (Grands Jardins, Hautes Gorges, Morrios...), social and recreational outings (Casino, Lac Nairne, Plage Ste-Irénée...) and cultural events (Musée de Charlevoix, Économusée du Fromage...). Exceptional hospitality with a host who is welcoming and available but not intrusive. Possibility of packages: photo expedition, guided tours and Robert's secrets.
Decorated with objects from various countries, these themed rooms offer you in turn an African, Indian and American universe. All rooms are equipped with lighting to create different moods. The common area is decorated with international objects and a digital frame showing photos of Charlevoix landscapes. There's also a convivial dining room with muted lighting if desired, a relaxation area with magazines and a library. Everything you need to feel at home and at the same time on your travels.
Access to a clean bathroom, a warm and friendly dining room, a laundry room (for a small fee), a barbecue on the terrace (for a small fee), a large picnic area and a garage to store your sports equipment.
I am a discreet but sociable person. I really enjoy chatting with my visitors and even inviting them over for coffee and dessert. On request, I am available both to share and answer questions of information and to accompany (see packages) travellers during their stay. Otherwise, I respect the privacy of my guests and have no desire to be intrusive.
At less than 30 minutes by car, it is possible to reach almost all the mytic places of Charlevoix: l'Acropole des Draveurs, Lac de Cygnes, le Massif, Mont Grand-Fond, les Morrios, the Casino de Charlevoix, l'Isle aux Coudres with its magnificent bicycle tour of L'île (25 km), the Alpaca farm, the boutiques of Baie-Saint-Paul, the most beautiful countryside in Charlevoix located along the mountains between Notre-Dame-des-Monts and St-Urbain with its rest stop giving access to a breathtaking view and many others.
Parking is easily accessible almost everywhere in Charlevoix. A convenience store with a choice of prepared meals is located 30 metres from the house and the post office about 100 metres away. Access to the Lac Nairn municipal beach is approximately 5 km away, while an Iga grocery shop, Caisse populaire, pharmacy and Régie des alcools are a 12-minute drive away.
Packages Offered:
Charlevoix 360: This activity allows you to learn about the magnificent Charlevoix region. Thanks to his storytelling talents, Robert will show you the region from the inside. The mythical La Noyée mountain, Menaud maître draveur, la montagne de la Croix. Did you know that the Charlevoix region was born of a wound? Duration 2 hours
Photo expedition: Basic 30-minute course with a digital SLR camera that will allow you to practice in a fun atmosphere while visiting magnificent places, improve your landscape captures and provide you with indelible memories. Duration 1/2 day or a full day.
Robert's secrets: A lover of the region, Robert has his own little secrets that the tourist guides say little or nothing about. Let yourself be surprised by these delicious places! Depending on your choice, this tour lasts between 2 and 7 hours, including a boxed lunch.
Along the river: According to Robert - who may be a little biased - the river route is the most beautiful in Quebec. Let yourself be guided and surprised where it's really worthwhile. Duration: one day, including a stop for lunch. And if you're a poutine lover, the mytic casse-croûte chez Ginette will fill you up.
Robert is a journalist-writer who likes to tell stories and...a few candid lies.
