Villa Bellavista is a historic residence of great charm, perched among lemon groves and terraced vineyards in the heart of the Amalfi Coast, in a truly spectacular position overlooking the sea. From here, the view encompasses the blue of Amalfi and rests in front of the celebrated natural arch known as the "Arch of Love," which has become iconic also for being the testimonial for Baci Perugina chocolates for many years.

The property was built in the early eighteenth century, following a then-widespread design with barrel vaults.
Originally, it was a small lookout tower nestled among lemon terraces; in 1875, after the abandonment of the nearby Church of Lone, it was transformed into a Sacred Chapel to house the Madonna di Lone until the early 20th century.
On that occasion, the first decorations on the vaults, still visible today, were made. At the beginning of the 1920s, the chapel was converted into a residential dwelling, while in 2010 the current owner carried out significant renovations: the historic "tower," with its large wall of approximately 160 cm, was enhanced by transforming it into a luxury bathroom that retains the original decorations of the time.
Next to it is a frescoed bedroom, adorned at the headboard by an original painting of the Madonna, once located in the old chapel. Stayed for only a couple nights but it was amazing. House was great and the location cant be beaten. Check in was easy, and included a tour of the home and some local tips (which we needed). Couldnt have been better!

This house was fantastic, the view was amazing, the property manager was incredibly responsive and the activities were amazing (do not miss out on the boat trip to Capri and the cooking class)! The stay was so peaceful and we were so thankful we stayed here and not in Positano where the crowds were intense. This is the place to stay…look no further!
